DULUTH SCHOOLS NEED
A NEW VOICE AND A
FRESH PERSPECTIVE.
JOIN US!
Hello! I’m Stephanie Williams and I'm excited to be running for School Board At-Large because I know how great Duluth Public Schools can be, and I want to be a part of getting us there.
I graduated from Duluth Public schools, worked for Duluth Public Schools and have sent my son to Duluth Public Schools. My experiences in these different capacities will stay with me for the rest of my life. My desire is to help the district become the best it can be for ALL students, families, and staff.
I’m proud to be DFL Endorsed and count on the support of so many community members! I’d love to connect with new folks. Please reach out and let’s chat, have a coffee or share ideas over email.
I'd be honored to represent you! Vote Stephanie Williams for School Board in the General Election on November 7th.

Experience.
Empathy.
Education.
As a Duluthian, raised and still living in Duluth’s West End, I grew up witness to how my mother, a teacher at several elementary schools in Duluth, was passionate about her students, devoting extra time to make sure they knew she cared about them and spending money out of her own pocket. This alone inspired me to run for Duluth School Board, but so many other lived experiences have motivated me to serve our community. I want to make a lasting impact on the community that raised me.
I’m a dedicated change-agent in our community, involved in everything from the creation of the GED Program at Community Action Duluth to the planning of the MLK, Jr. Day celebrations, to my work with ISD 709’s American Indian Education Program. Leading with empathy, I look forward to building a brighter future through education advocacy that benefits our students, teachers, parents and community.
I believe that we are driven by both our values and our lived experiences. I am a graduate of Lincoln Park (back when it was K-8) and Denfeld High School. The truth is, my experience wasn’t always great as one of the only Black kids in my school at the time and, unfortunately, this experience is still lived today by students from all different backgrounds. The District is investing efforts into creating change, but there is more that can be done and I want to be a part of creating change.
My priorities include putting our kids first, holistically supporting our teachers, fully funding our schools, rooting equity into the heart of every conversation, keeping kids in the classroom, and soliciting community input on district issues. I'm running because I'm passionate about creating a school district that truly serves ALL students!
